The Fortunes of Israel

Amos 9

H - "'I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel, and they shall rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them. They shall plant vineyards and drink their wine, and they shall make gardens and eat their fruit. I will plant them on their land, and they shall never again be uprooted out of the land that I have given them,' says Yahweh your God." - Amos 9:14-15

E - After the Tribulation, in Jesus' 1000-year Millennial kingdom, God will restore the remnant of Israel to their land and bless them with abundance. The return will be permanent, not temporary. This prophecy was not fulfilled in 1948, because the time of Jacob's trouble (Jeremiah 30:7) is yet future. The people of Israel will be uprooted yet again during the Tribulation, but ultimately they will be at peace in their own land. God will keep his covenant promises with Israel.

R - Father, thank you for your plan for history and that we need not fear the future. I fully trust in you and want to obey you in the here and now, fully expecting that what you have said about the future regarding the Church and Israel will take place. Thank you that King Jesus is coming!
