Jeremiah 31-33
H - "And [Israel] shall be my people, and I will be their God. I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their own good and the good of their children after them. I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. And I will put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me. I will rejoice in doing them good, and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all my heart and all my soul." - Jeremiah 32:38-41
E - The Babylonians under Nebuchadnezzar will conquer Judah and destroy Jerusalem. But there will come a time when God returns Israel to her land and changes their hearts to fear him. They will no longer turn away from him, and he will richly bless them.
R - Father, thank you that I am of your people, and that you are my God. Give the Church one heart and one way, that we may fear you forever, for our own good and the good of our children. Do not turn away from doing good to us. Put the fear of you in our hearts so that we do not turn away from you. Rejoice in doing us good. Plant us in our various lands in faithfulness, with all your heart and all your soul. Thank you that as Gentiles we may participate in these New Covenant blessings. Thank you also, that you still have your eye on Israel. Please fulfil all your promises to Israel in future days.
